Allisa Pili’s, a 2019 graduate of Dimond High School, remarkable athletic career has left an indelible mark on Alaska high school sports, earning her a well-deserved spot in the Alaska High School Hall of Fame. A standout athlete at Anchorage’s Dimond High School, Alissa’s accomplishments across multiple sports have set a new standard of excellence, making her one of the most accomplished and celebrated athletes in the state’s history.
Alissa was a true multi-sport phenom. In volleyball, she led Dimond High to four consecutive state championships, showcasing her athleticism and leadership on the court. She was also a force in track and field, winning four state titles in shot put and two in discus, demonstrating her strength and technical ability. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, Alissa was also a state champion wrestler, securing the state title in her weight class, further proving her versatility and dominance across sports.
On the basketball court, Alissa’s achievements were nothing short of legendary. She helped lead Dimond to two state championships and was recognized as the state’s best player multiple times. Alissa was a three-time Gatorade Player of the Year for Basketball, a testament to her exceptional skill and leadership. Her accolades didn’t stop there—she was also named the MaxPreps Female High School Athlete of the Year twice, cementing her status as one of the top female athletes in the nation.
After high school, Alissa’s athletic career continued to soar. She played collegiate basketball at the University of Southern California (USC), earning Pac-12 Freshman of the Year and later transferred to the University of Utah, where she further honed her skills, earning Pac-12 Player of the Year, WBCA All-America honors and second team All-America recognition. Following a standout college career, Alissa was drafted number 8 overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Minnesota Lynx.
Off the court, Alissa’s character and leadership have set her apart as a role model for young athletes across the state. Known for her humility, dedication, and perseverance, she exemplifies the qualities of a true champion. Her leadership, both in competition and in the community, has made her an inspiration to others, and her journey is one of grit, resilience, and excellence.
