Yohance Humphrey

Yohance Humphrey – 1997 graduate of Chugiak High School (Eagle River). Arguably the best high school football player to play in Alaska, Yohance Humphrey’s records and statistics are unmatched. While in high school, he lettered in football, soccer and track and field, and garnered honors as an All-State wide receiver, All-State running back and defensive back. He led the Mustangs to two state championship football games, runner-up in 1994 and champion in 1996. His all-time scoring record at Chugiak still stands today. His outstanding collegiate football career at the University of Montana included being selected as two time A.P. All-American while leading his team to two consecutive Division 1 AA title games; runners-up in 2000 and national champions in 2001. He holds every single game, season and career record at the university for number of carries, yards rushing, average yards per carry, and touchdowns scored. Humphrey currently resides in Eagle River.
