Daryn Colledge

Daryn Colledge

Baseball, Football, Track
North Pole High School

Daryn Colledge was nominated to the Alaska Hall of Fame as “a solid student, terrific athlete and outstanding citizen” at North Pole High School, graduating in 2000. Daryn especially shined in sports and was described as “everything you could ever ask for in an athlete…highly coachable, awesome character, great personality, and a natural leader.”

While at NPHS, Daryn earned 8 varsity letters and numerous awards: 4 letters in Baseball (All-Conference Jr. & Sr. years); 2 in Track & Field; 1 in Basketball; 1 in Music-Choir; and 1 in Football (All-Conference and All-State for offense, defense and punter). “While his senior season was his first in the sport, he took to it like a fish in water.”

Daryn went from NPHS to Boise State, where as a 4 year football starter, his team was 45-7, played in 4 Bowl games and he was on the All-WAC Freshman team, 2nd team All-WAC as a sophomore, 1st team as a Jr. and Sr. and All-American as a Sr.

Drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 2nd round, Daryn played 9 years in the NFL (2006-2015), receiving a Super Bowl ring when the Packers won Super Bowl XLV in 2011. After retiring from the NFL, he returned to Idaho, joined the Army National Guard and currently serves as a Crew Chief on Blackhawk helicopters.

Daryn Colledge is “one of the best Soldiers we’ve got,” continues to give back, is “humble about his success,” “his morals and character are beyond reproach” and he “remains an excellent role model” for the State of Alaska.
