Brit Jacobson Reid

ATHLETE – Chugiak High School 1994

Brit Jacobson Reid

Brit Jacobson – 1994 graduate of Chugiak High School (Eagle River). A phenomenal athlete, Brit Jacobson is considered one of the best in Alaska prep basketball, track and field and cross-country running history. During her years at Chugiak High School, she earned four letters in each sport. Her remarkable accomplishments at Chugiak include three state cross-country championships, runner-up and state champion in basketball, and in track and field – multiple state championships in the 400 and 800 meter races and the 4×400 meter relay. In 1994 she was named State Basketball Player of the Year, Alaska Track Athlete of the Year, and to the Kodak High School All America Team in basketball. After being recruited by many top-level basketball programs, she chose to attend Kansas State University where she was a three year starter and 4 year letter winner. She is only the second women player in the school’s history to reach the career milestones of more than 1500 points (1520), more than 200 steals (219) and more than 200 assists (276). Her recognition didn’t end on the court. She was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Conference Team. Jacobson earned her degree and now resides in Kansas where she has her own family.
